DO I QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL TAX-FREE PURCHASES?

For the Organic Alcohol Company not to charge the Federal Excise Tax on alcohol, special permitting or documentation must be presented.

For a Transfer In Bond (TIB): A Basic Permit and an approved TIB form from the Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) are required to be on file. This is sometimes the case for purchases from wineries and other larger entities who then remit the Federal Excise Tax themselves or legally transfer the liability onward. Eligibility for exemption is determined by the Tax and Trade Bureau. For more information see our Federal Tax page.

Drawback Program: Some companies may be eligible for the Federal Excises Tax Drawback program. More information to qualify may be found here https://www.ttb.gov/industrial

No-Tax Paid Special: Institutions using alcohol for scientific or research purposes may be eligible for a permit issued by the TTB that allows for the purchase of non-beverage alcohol, free of federal tax. Please visit the TTB's website to determine your eligibility.
